What We Believe

GospelGram is a product of Theodoxia. The beliefs of GospelGram are the beliefs of Theodoxia. Theodoxia is built on biblical, historic Christianity, in order to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 1:3)

Where we stand

When you give to someone through GospelGram, you are not being asked to trust a stranger on the internet. You are trusting that the person raising support stands where the Church has always stood — and here is where we stand.

We are, and intend to remain — by the grace of God — historically and confessionally Christian. We preach Christ, and Christ alone; like the apostles before us, we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.

And we hold fast to the warning of Scripture: “even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”Romans 1:16 (ESV)

The foundation

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible — the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments — is the Word of God written: inspired by the Holy Spirit, fully trustworthy, and the final authority for what Christians believe and how we live. It does not merely contain the Word of God; it is the Word of God. Where Scripture speaks, the matter is settled.

The essentials

The historic Christian faith

This is the truth. Theodoxia exists, by design, to live and move and have its being declaring it — in everything we build, create, and support. And we will proclaim these truths for as long as God allows us to exist.

  1. 01

    One God, eternally three

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory, one in essence. This is the Trinity.

  2. 02

    God the Father

The Creator of heaven and earth, who made all things and sustains all things, and who is good, holy, and sovereign over history.

  3. 03

Jesus Christ, true God and true man

The eternal Son of God became man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, died as the atoning sacrifice for sin, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended to the Father and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end.

  4. 04

    The Holy Spirit

True God, who convicts the world of sin, gives new birth, indwells and sanctifies believers, and empowers the Church for witness and service.

  5. 05

    Humanity, made and fallen

All people are made in the image of God and have inherent dignity and worth. All people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and cannot save themselves.

  6. 06

Salvation by grace, through faith, in Christ alone

We are justified — forgiven and counted righteous before God — not by our works but by God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. There is salvation in no one else; Christ is the one Mediator between God and man.

  7. 07

The Gospel and the call to mission

God, in love, gave His Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This Gospel is for every people and nation, and the Church is sent to proclaim it to the ends of the earth.

  8. 08

    The Church

The one universal body of Christ, made up of all true believers across every nation and age, gathered in local congregations for worship, the sacraments and ordinances, discipleship, and mission.

  9. 09

    The last things

Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. There will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment, everlasting life with God for those in Christ, and the making new of all things.

What we believe about

Topics that are important

Marriage and human sexuality

We believe God created humanity male and female, each bearing His image with equal dignity, and that marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman. We believe God’s design for sexual intimacy is within that union, and we hold this conviction with both conviction and compassion toward every person.

The sanctity of human life

We believe every human life bears the image of God and has worth from conception to natural death. The taking of an unborn, innocent life is murder. God has commanded, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13), and throughout Scripture He defends the innocent. There is no form of murder that God endorses; therefore we cannot endorse it, and we believe abortion should be abolished. We are equally bound to love and care for the vulnerable — the unborn and the mother, the poor, the stranger, and the aged.

The Great Commission

We believe the Church is under the command of her risen King to make disciples of all nations. Missions is not a hobby of the Church but its heartbeat — and it is the very reason GospelGram exists: to help the Gospel reach every people, until He comes.

The persecuted Church

We are one family in Christ, and when one part of the body suffers every part suffers with it (Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12). The persecuted Church holds a special place in our hearts — brothers and sisters who follow Jesus at the cost of their freedom, their families and their lives. GospelGram exists in part to help support them, and the missionaries who go to them, so that when they hurt they know they are not alone, and their courage is our courage too.

Our King is Coming Back.

Theodoxia believes and proclaims these things because Jesus, the King of kings, will return soon. Everything we strive to do is to prepare for His return in faith.
